Planning Information - Logistics Overview

General Logistics

  • Costs: $8/day. Primitive sleeping arrangements and communal meals helped to keep the costs down.  Money for support costs were raised by church organizations.
  • Sleeping arrangements – We spent our nights either camping or staying in churches.
  • We cooked communally. The support team coordinated meals and shopping.
  • Two support vehicles aided the tour by carrying camping gear and food and helping to arrange lodging logistics. The support team also helped to facilitate communicating the conversation back to the broader church through the website and video projects.
  • Persons with first aid experience were a part of the support group and a medication/injury kit was kept in the vehicle. 
  • Participants were responsible to make sure they had proper health insurance coverage
